UNDERCITY
Andrew Wonder and Steve Duncan head to the underground of the city. Its a heart thumping short film, but obviously this is not for the normal city explorer.
For example if you wish to do some of these explorations without getting arrested the Brooklyn Atlantic Avenue tunnel has tours for a look at the oldest [...]
Centennial Soiree at the Brooklyn Botanical Garden
This past Thursday evening August 12 was the Linnaean Libation League’s Centennial Soiree. The celebration was held for the Brooklyn Botanic Garden’s 100th birthday. We did not have a speaking role, but our fashions were included in this video clip on the Long Island Channel 12 news. Here are some vintage styled photographs from the [...]

Jazz Age Lawn Party on Governors Island
We spent the day on Governor’s Island with Michael Arenella & His Dreamland Orchestra at the 5th Bi-Annual Jazz Age Lawn Party, complete with vintage clothing vendors, a hopping dance floor, fashion shows, a tug-of-war contest, old-fashioned cocktails, and a showcase of vintage cars.

As illustrated above, “Whitney, age 36, has found his home behind the buttons and hooks of century-old clothing, whose constriction he finds [...]

Miniature Brownstone Brooklyn
Recently, we’ve been recalling our childhoods. Maybe its the holidays that bring it out of us. We remember playing with toy trains, lincoln logs, legos, dollhouses, miniature aquariums, race-car tracks, kynex, etc. Something in the air this holiday season has made us want to play with modeling kits to pass the time.
If there’s one thing [...]

Australian 20th Century Mugshots
“Crooks Like Us” by Peter Doyle is a fascinating looking book on the underbelly of the Australian 20th century. We first read about it at a time to get.
If you’re stuck acting as a Secret Santa for that persky co-worker who can’t seem to get enough vintage mugshot coffee table books, you’re in luck. Check [...]
